Needless to say, subconsciously a huge influence for starting Jump! is Philippe Halsman's work. When I researched my favorite jumping photo, I discovered Halsman's collected images of famous people jumping in his Jump Book. If the Duke and Duchess of Windsor can jump, so can you!
Halsman was one expert portraitist taking photos of celebrities jumping; Jump! is in the same spirit, but will be a participatory collection of photos of regular people jumping, taken by as many contributors as possible.
